Background
Dr. Shah attended Emory University in Atlanta, GA, becoming a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society in his junior year and proceeding to complete his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. He received a full tuition merit scholarship to attend the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and receive his Doctorate of Medicine in 2018. He began his training in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and completed it at the University of Louisville, where he was elected Chief Resident from 2021 through 2022.
Dr. Shah moved to Fresno to join the team at InSight Vision Center in the summer of 2023. He is fluent in Spanish, Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and professionally associated with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
Scope of Practice
One of the many perks of joining IVC is being able to practice Ophthalmology to the full extent of my ability. I love this because I believe each patient should have an Ophthalmologist that can be truly comprehensive and take care of each part of their eyes. I enjoy treating a vast array of diseases such as corneal disorders, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, optic neuritis, thyroid eye disease, uveitis, and more. I also perform cosmetic procedures such as refractive lens exchange, laser vision correction, eyelid procedures, and Botox injections.
