Background
I spent most of my life on the East Coast before deciding to pursue the California dream. I completed my undergraduate and medical school at Boston University and then moved to New York for my residency and then to Detroit for a fellowship in cornea, external diseases and refractive surgery. I then moved to Virginia Beach where one cold, winter day it dawned on me that I had been through too many snowstorms and it was time to move to a warmer area. I moved to Fresno with my lovely wife and three children and we have never looked back since.
I have performed thousands of cataract surgeries and specialize in multifocal lenses as well as astigmatism correcting procedures such as toric lenses and limbal relaxing incision (LRIs). I also specialize in all forms of corneal surgery and perform excisions of complex pterygia as well as minor plastics procedures including blepharoplasties and eyelid repair.
Roles and Responsibilities
I take pride in taking the time to understand my patients and thoroughly explain each diagnosis and treatment option. I feel that my job is not done until my patients have a clear understanding of their condition and have enough information to make a clear decision about their treatment.
